flynas Upgrade is your chance to Bid for an upgrade to Premium Class at a discounted price.
How does flynas Upgrade work?
It's a simple 3-step process:
- 1. Bid for an upgrade by clicking on the link in the offer email or by entering your details on upgrade.flynas.com
- 2. Enter your payment details and submit your Bid
- 3. You'll be notified of the outcome approximately 14 hours before departure
Is there a minimum bid for flynas Upgrade?
A minimum bid may apply and vary according to the route selected and the level of availability. This will be shown during the bid process.
flynas retains sole discretion to set or adjust the minimum price whenever it deems it appropriate.
What is the price of an Upgrade?
You can enter a Bid at the price that suits you. The cost of the service is the amount you set when placing your Bid and is charged on top of an already purchased Economy booking.
You will only be charged if and when your Bid is accepted. Changes or cancellations of your Bid, as well as a declined Bid, do not incur any charge. If you have already purchased bags, lounge access or a seat reservation, the value of these extras will be credited to you as a credit shell against your booking reference. Pre-ordered meals will be cancelled and no refund can be granted.
Under which circumstances are flynas Upgrade offered and/or granted?
The flynas Upgrade service is only available if:
- - You are an Economy passenger with a valid flynas booking;
- - There are available seats in the Premium Class cabin on your chosen flight. The availability in the Premium Class will determine the outcome (accepted/declined) of your request.
Please note, some flynas routes may be excluded from this offer. flynas retains the sole discretion to decide which flights, bookings and passengers are eligible for flynas Upgrade.
What are the terms and conditions tied to flynas Upgrade?

Why are Upgrades not guaranteed? What does the confirmation depend on?
flynas Upgrade is not guaranteed because availability depends on other passengers’ bids and on there being seats available in Premium Class on your chosen route. If no Premium Class seats are available 14 hours before the scheduled departure time then flynas will not be able to accept your Bid. flynas Upgrades also considers a range of other factors when accepting or denying a Bid (e.g. the original flight price and added services of meals, extra-bags, and lounge access in the original flight booking).
What's the difference between a standard Premium Class booking and the flynas Upgrade service?
Unlike standard Premium Class bookings made on flynas.com or via a travel agent, bidding for a flynas Upgrade does not guarantee that you will travel in Premium Class, as the Upgrade product is subject to availability 14 hours before departure.
Once you have booked your flight, you can bid for an Upgrade at your convenience by following the links on flynas.com or in the Upgrade email you received. Premium Class bookings made on flynas.com or via a travel agent are in no way affected by flynas Upgrade service.

If your Upgrade is accepted you will earn 1 SMILE Point for every 1 SAR you spend, excluding any applicable tax or fees.

Is there a deadline for placing my Bid on flynas Upgrade?
The deadline for placing an Upgrade Request is 15 hours before departure. Bids cannot be entered or modified after the deadline has passed.
Can I use flynas Upgrade for only one of my flights?
Yes, you can Bid for different flights individually.
Can I modify or cancel my flynas Upgrade Bid?
Yes, you can modify or cancel your Bid up to 15 hours before departure.
However, please note that after your Upgrade Bid is accepted or declined, no changes, cancellations or refunds are possible.
What happens if my flynas Upgrade Bid is accepted?
If your Bid is accepted, your flynas booking will be upgraded to Premium Class and you will get to indulge in a premium flying experience! At this moment your credit card will be charged. You will then be able to check-in and choose your seat in the Premium Class Cabin.
What happens if my flynas Upgrade Bid is declined?
If your Bid is declined, your flynas booking remains unchanged and no charge will be made.
Can I place a new flynas Upgrade Bid after it was declined?
No, once your Bid is declined you won't be able to place a new Bid for the same flight. However, you can still place a Bid for other eligible flights in the same booking.
When do I pay?
Payment is collected if and when your Bid is accepted. You will be automatically charged the corresponding amount to the credit card you used when making your Bid. This amount is non-refundable once charged.
In case my flynas Upgrade Bid is accepted - will my complete travel party be upgraded?
Yes, you are only able to place an Upgrade Bid for your whole travel party. If the upgrade is confirmed, all passengers of your booking will be upgraded for this flight.
When will I know if my flynas Upgrade Bid is accepted or declined?
You will be notified by email approximately 14 hours before the scheduled departure time of your flight.
What happens if I already purchased extras?
If you have already purchased bags, lounge access or a seat reservation, the value of these extras will be credited to you as a credit shell against your booking reference. Pre-ordered meals will be cancelled and no refund can be granted.
What happens if I already purchased a seat assignment?
If your Bid is accepted then the value of the seat will be credited to you as a credit shell.
What happens if I already purchased extra luggage?
If your Bid is accepted then the value of the luggage will be credited to you as a credit shell.
What happens if I already purchased a meal?
Pre-ordered meals will be cancelled and no refund can be granted.

Are there any hidden fees?
There are no hidden fees whatsoever. The service you get is the only service you pay for. The full price you will pay if your Bid is accepted is the one indicated when you submit the Bid. If your Bid is rejected, you don't pay anything.
